Traffic Services

Objective:

• To reduce road accidents and carnage through promotion of road and public safety regulations and enforcement of bylaws.

Functions:

• Traffic: Enforcement of the national road traffic act, including traffic control, roadblocks, and conducting of escorts.
• Law enforcement: enforcement of bylaws, demarcation of loading zones, and reserve parking.
• Driving License Testing Center: granting and renewal of driving licenses, granting of learner’s licenses, granting and renewal of public driving permits, and granting of conversion of foreign driving licenses.
• Vehicle Testing Station: Vehicle roadworthy testing.
